Wiki: Lip Sync Battle is an American musical reality competition television series which premiered on April 2, 2015, on Spike cable network.

The show is based on an idea introduced to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon by John Krasinski, in which celebrities battle each other with lip sync performances.

It was used (and is still used) as a recurring segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonbefore it was developed into a separate show.

“We’ve got so many people who want to be involved reaching out to us, it’s becoming quite difficult to know who the best celebrities for you are, so we would absolutely like to hear from the audience because we are making this show for them.”
