Mapula despairs that she doesn’t have a talent to display at the talent show. Mampho and Jamaica take Reneilwe out to cheer her up. David is determined to right Brenda’s mistakes.

Lerato discovers Solomon crouching over Brenda with the murder weapon. Kop is disappointed when Reneilwe refuses to go to church. Bash apologises to Zolani. Sabelo finds out there is prize money for the dance contest. David is going through a hard time.

Bash loses his job to Themba. Sindiswa’s ploy to get Emmanuel to be her matric dance date is shattered. Zinzi promises to help her friend win Emmanuel over. Doc clashes with Lerato about what Bongi did and he grows bitter towards Bongi.

Doc wants Bongi’s forgiveness. Reneilwe comes clean to Bash about the whiskey. Emmanuel has made up his mind – he wants to take Mapula to the dance.

Rhythm City is a South African drama series that premiered on the country’s free-to-air television channel e.tv on 9 July 2007 as a replacement to the now-defunct youth-targeted soap opera, Backstage, on weekdays in the competitive 18:30 time slot. Its storyline revolves around the trials and tribulations of those who are trying to break into the music industry and the infidelity, backstabbing, abortion, homosexuality, love and drug addictions of those who have made it in the business.
