SABC2 ‘s biggest and longest running TV breakfast show Morning Live, is in its 15th year of successful broadcast – and that only seems to be the beginning.

There seems to be a thread that links the success of this phenomen, it’s credible and informative content, its charismatic presenters that deliver it and its viewers that receive it. It’s a thread that has stood simply in defining what it is to be proudly ‘South African’.

•             As part of the adjustments, Weekend Live migrated into Morning Live, combining resources and expertise to create a seamless, quality driven, seven days a week breakfast show. Weekend Live operate under the brand name Morning Live.

•             All the regular News updates: The Weather Reports, Commuter News, Sport and Business News still form part of the daily broadcast with added focus on Outside Broadcasts from locations across the country as well as regular live regional crossings.

Morning Live first went on air on the 1st November 1999. The revamped seven days a week Morning Live delivers news as it happens, while still providing our loyal viewers with “Everything you need to know before go”.

Over the years, Morning Live had the opportunity to interview influential leaders and cheerleaders for change including South Africa’s first democratic president Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Academy® Award winner Morgan Freeman, Lionel Richie, Civil Rights Activist, Reverend Jesse Jackson  and the late Nkosi Johnson.
